what cap was used in a 61 strat. this was a pivotal time. they apparently had .1uf caps and .05uf caps, both ceramic and P.I.O. . anybody know for sure?

Only one capacitor . 0.1 ceramic on these year. And there are a photo of '62 Strat showing one ceramic cap, I know you're is a '61

thanks, i don't have that book but your input helps my research. i tried looking this up online and found several conflicting answers. at least your answer fits what i had suspected. .1uf ceramic and those were a bit different sounding than what we have today, at least from what i gather from the sites i visited those caps tended to have a smooth darkening as you rolled off the treble.
