What's happening people. So before I bought the new American Standard Strat, I found it really annoying that there wasn't a single video for an audio demo on the new American Standards. Well I made one. Check it out, I'm rusty as always but hey.

Goodnight!

Good beginning.....now you have to start 'coloring' your art with those tone pots. I suppose we'll be hearing more from you as time goes on.

P.S. I too was impressed with the look of that white guitar in the ad.

ZZDoc, I'm fully aware of using the tone pots to create a nice blend, I have been a strat player for the past 7 years - I simply put everything up to 9 because that's how it sounds out of the box. If you watch my other videos you'll hear how I 'color' my art...

well, i don't agree, the new strat is just a juiced up highway 1 , that's it, the case is huge, don't know i think they should have introduced a new high way one and that's it... maybe call it route 66.. i think the strat should have remained the same, same paint layers, maybe change , neck finish, put on the same tremolo as the delux, use the same tone controlll's, but change it drasticly like this.. no way...

OK: I have about 43 more years, and perhaps a few more Stratocasters, on you in that respect, but have it your way. However, don't get too bent out of shape about it, not withstanding my compliment.

If you want an idea of what a 'real' Stratocaster sounds like out of the box, listen to Buddy Holly. THAT was the sound of my '58. bought new. The rest of it is evolution and, depending upon one's musical taste,(frankrizzo as an example), not necessarily for the better...except perhaps....for the Clapton. (My personal choice for all-around Stratocaster.)

If we take all the company hype on this new guitar seriously, YES, you have a bit of coloring ahead of you to really explore the tonal palate of this new guitar.

As far as your videos, consider trashing the one with the sandwich. It's musically inconsistent with your abilities and a side of you which you ought not share with the world,

Okay, but please, don't try and impress me with your knowledge - there are so many people on here that act like they know everything. All I did was upload a video for people to hear it, simple as.

If you fail to draw from the background and experiences of those who plowed the road long before you, then you fail utterly. There are people out here who have likely forgotten more than you may ever learn, and they may not be revealing their true identities or experiences with you for obvious reasons.

Rather than benefitting from this, and their willingness and desire to share freely of their lives, you accuse them of 'blowing their own horns' and you take umbrage at the fact.

Back it down, listen, learn, and improve. You have only yourself to benefit.
