I have read all I can find and search threads here ..but I cant seem to clarify if my plus is a lipstick red or a torino red..its an E4XXX...its so hard to distinguish colors on the internet..I was reading xhefris website I had assumed mine was lipstick red but if Im reading correctly the 87-88 models only had a torino red and a candy? Its not a huge deal just has me curious now.. ( I have ruled out fiesta ) Thanks

I'd go with Torino Red

I am not sure you looked at the Picts on my website but almost every color is represented there. I have seen lipstick red on 87 Plus as well as Torino red. Any Picts you can post?

That looks like Torino Red to me. Red it a tricky color for taking pictures of as well. The difference between Lipstick and Torino is that Lipstick is a candy color. That means it is really a white base coat, like vintage white with transparent red coats over top, followed by clear coats, where as Torino Red is a solid color with a clear coat. the only way I would know for sure is by examining the body routes. Most of the time the red is buffed through on the edges of the pickup route exposing the white. If that be the case it would be Lipstick. Lipstick is a deep looking color because of its candy nature.

Thank you again..I just noticed in the pic..the 25 year old silicone package I think it could be tossed lol! It is the nicest playing guitar and Im a serious newbie on the electric..acoustic will always be my first love but Im getting seriously obsessed!
