After many months I finally took my beloved '04 50th Anniversary Am. Series Strat to Phil Jacoby at Philtone guitars and he set her up nicely. I'd forgotten just how much I enjoyed playing this guitar.

The guitar plays and sounds wonderfully; Phil does great work.

These are really great guitars and Fender put a lot of great work and attention to detail when they made these guitars. The 2-color sunburst is top notch, the necks are wonderful and the Custom Shop '54 pickups are some of the best pups I've ever owned.

To top it all off Fender through in a vintage Fender tweed cade with gold interior and a special neck plate. The only thing that I've never like about these guitars are the pickguards. Mine has turned a light coffee color which clashes with the pickup covers and knobs.

I can't wait to play this guitar at my church on Sunday.

Paris; I just purchased a modified 2005 60th Anniversary Telecaster.
Don't you just love the way Fender's anniversary guitars feel?
Extra special. Mine has a tweed case I am not happy with,
but the guitar and doubled sided binding is fabulous.
Congratulations on taking this one out for a ride

Could you post some photos (Headstock, back of headstock, front of body and neck plate)? I'm thinking that your Tele was made in '06, the year they came out with the 60th Anniversary Teles and Strats.

Perfect. The custom shop owner purchased the Telecaster and completely redid the
electronics, tuners, bridge and added the Bigsby. If you can tell me what it is,
I'd be very grateful. He did say it was a 1960s anniversary model or reissue Telecaster.
From my poor memory, it is not that old, maybe 2004-2009. The custom shop reseller
just likes to rebuild guitars to the next level, starting with the best body & neck.

The body should be Fender Factory in color and binding. The neck MIGHT be Fender.
Let me know if you can identify the year. 1960s comes to mind. Toppscore :D

Toppscore,

I have two points to make about this guitar.

Point 1. I think that's a really sweet looking guitar. Love the binding and color. It reminds me of my Muddy Waters Tele, but I don't think that the guitar started out as a 2006 60th Anniversary model. The 60th Anniversary models came in two models:

An American Series 3-color sunburst with rosewood neck, a diamond in the headstock and a case with red lining and 60th Anniversary badge in the lid.

and

An ash model in a natural finish with a large 60th Anniversary Logo on the body.

In 2006 Fender put a metal 60th Anniversary "coin" on the back of all of their instruments, but none of these are Anniversary models. A lot people think they have an Anniversary model because of these little metal coins. for instance my 2006 Hwy 1 is not an Anniversary model guitar. It's a stock guitar.

If I had to guess I say that this guitar started out as a MIJ '62 Reissue Tele Custom which may or may not have already had the Bigsby. Fender did make a '62 Reissue Tele Custom with a Bigsby. I owned a one.

Point 2. I really love the Bigsby vibrato, but from my own experience with them, they are a pain in the butt change strings and I don't like the saddle design.

I'm not trying to bash your guitar, but I am trying to give you information about your guitar. If down the road you sell this guitar (which you may not) you need to give the buyer the best and most accurate information about the guitar. Over all it's a sweet guitar.

No problem, Paris, and thanks for being cool about it. It IS NOT an anniversary issue.
My Bigsby tremolo vibrato system plays great. I haven't experienced tuning issues.
There are licensed Bigsby systems and various levels trems by Bigsby.
I do not remember every little part of discussions. But, I took notes.

This guitar is a "Fender's Limited Edition Series 1960s Custom Telecaster w/Bigsby".
I believe it is MIA, not MIJ. OK. Please do let me know what you know or think. Thanks.

================================
The following information is from the ORIGINAL Fender Specs regarding
this guitar BEFORE the custom modificaions:

=======================
More notes from the seller:

The 4 way wiring is from Hoagland Brothers. They make custom wiring setups for many guitars and have many options. I've used so many that I am trying to remember exactly which one was used here. I know the 4th position is the series/parallel phase - out of phase option. This allows you to boost the output 15% when activated. The 4th position does that on its own. I made no alterations to the harness – it’s straight from Hoagland Brothers. The push pull is an option that is used if you ever changed out to a humbucker which is why it was not mentioned in the listing. Special bleed capacitor provides crisper treble at all levels, as traditional ones crap-out at higher registers. Just keep the Up/Down switch Down. The Up position is to split a humbucker, if you decided to change pickups.

Glad I could help. I'm not familier with this model. Cool!

As for the Bigsby, it's not the tuning, but the restringing I have and isssue. The posts where the strings go always come off when you restring the guitar. You can bend the stings at a slight angle to help reduce this problem, but it doesn't always work.

My solution is to make the posts longer or better yet make them hooks. Also I never liked the bridge. The strings rest badly on the saddles. A Gibson style knife edge bridge system works better. The system as a whole is wonderful. It's stable and smooth. Very nice system.

Mr T2Man. Ever since I’ve read your first typed words towards me regarding my
statement that I did not like my Fender Tweed case, which actually happens to be
the EXACT Tweed case within MY ABOVE TELECASTER's PHOTOs, you have
been "One Mr Angry Soul"!!!
What gives, dude?

You chit & chat about what I have or do not have. You make up LIES. Move on.
Mr Angry, you make claims about me that have zero inkling of truth.
Hey, little man. Be a better forum member. Improve your internal anger.

I should have nipped you off at the bud beginning, so hear it is, little man:
Put up or shut the “DW” up!!!

Present ANY LINK of ANY GUITAR or ANY AMP that you are suspecting of BS.
Come on, little man, let’s see where your claims go. PRESENT THE LINK.

I have the product. I own the amps and guitars, I owe you NOTHING.
So, little man, put up the ACTUAL LINK(S) that you're blabbling out your hole.
Right now, to me, that respected Elephant photo is a great representation
of blabbling holes that produce zero useful substance.

The kind forum poster ask for my help and to post some pictures.
I did that to serve and do what I can ~ to help each other.
Therefore, your comments are off in space. Back down, little man.

I own the Telecaster.
I own the Tweed case.
I own a ton of amps and guitars.
Got a problem?
You show me and ALL of the forum members your LINK(S) so ALL can see the photos
that you daringly accuse me of ("whatever" "false claims" "lying" "defrauding the public")
which you are blabbling about on the Internet or Ebay. Otherwise, I’ll report you as
abuse towards a forum member. Prove it with your "LINKS" or get off my back, little man.
Let’s see some action instead of your blabbling diatribe, little man,
and embarrass yourself, little man with a big mouth. Prove it.

I have shown and shared many, many pictures and comments regarding amp & guitars
I do own and have contibuted towards other Fender Forum members.
You seem to want to block it all.

Prove yourself. Then, get off my case. Forever.

Topp...I don't have the time or the inclination to go back and show the numerous times you have been outed about posting ebay pics of the guitars and amps you supposedly bought. This is not a court of law and I don't have to prove what you brag about.

Many members here (Me included) have tried to help you out with information when you ask for it...I was quite polite and helpful with info on your post about the Twin Reverb II model...spent a bit of time going back and researching answers for you, then when you disagree with something you get testy.

As for reporting me, I have simply asked on many occasions that you show us your collection and it is always the same, nothing...so report away, just remember Brads warning to you about your behavior, I have always been above board about all the information I have posted, you however cannot say the same thing...you have several times responded with major negativity...YOU are the one that needs to stop all the lies and come clean about your "Purchases". As for this guitar in this post it is NOT a Fender Anniversary Model, no matter what some idiot on ebay says! It is a nice looking guitar, and may have even started out its life in one of the Fender factories, but now it mearly a parts tele at best.

I am growing tired of your posts that come up every time someone else shows something, you just have to chime in with something you bought, but then only show ebay pics...This is just getting old old boy. If you really need a post showing all the times you have been outed on guitars and amps...well suggest you just review just about every post you have done showing pics.

As for the elephant, quite humorous but alas you missed the big salient feature of said elephant...a long memory...keep that in mind.

T2. You have called me a liar and posting false photos and many things else.
It has gone on for months. Every photo is of my guitars or amps.
Some are from the sources I purchased and some from my home.
I do not have time or desire to do a family photo.
I was hoping you could even find one internet photo from EBay.
You'd see I was the buyer.

But, all you can work on his hearsay and cheap comments and adding onto other
cheap comments. I have told you and others I own them all.
You are low on the totem pole as to who I have to prove anything to.
I will chime in where I want and if it bothers you, MTFO.

I have never started an argument. Mostly, there may be those that disagree with a
thread or opinion, but you get nasty. Mostly, I try to avoid. I do have a big heart
and do forgive and move on. But, not PM'ing me to check if I am true or accurate or
what is my source, you just try to slam me, and mostly for laughs, in your posts.
What have I done to you?

There will be no photo as many of my amps & guitars are posted within this Forum.
You do not believe me, so be it. Just move on. You and three others have ruined
at least three threads, and all for laughs. What does that prove or do for the rest
of us. If you do not like me, why antagonize? Why keep persisting? What is your gain?
Do you grow from belittling others? Just move on. I do not trail you and bother you.
Be a big guy and do the big thing and do not bother me.

I enjoy the journey I am on and it does not include you and a couple of others.
Belittlement and condesening comments really shows how negative, bitter and nasty
some of you and your cohorts can be. I have moved on.

I will post pictures whenever appropriate. I own the amps and you don’t.
I own the guitars and you don’t. I post the pictures and you don’t.

I’d rather trust the EBay seller that rebuilt the guitar that it started out as a 1960s reissue,
than even consider your third un-thought no-thought.
You trust nobody. I am not going to that level. Just move on, Elephant Man, little man.

You are the one who says I post photos of items I do not own.
Let’s see what you got, little man.
Show the links so all can see, little man.
Let’s see what you have to demean others with, little man.
I have been waiting. This is day two.
Already you have given signs of blabbling out. Like your Elephant photo.
You say you do not have time to find any. Yet you have time to call me names.
Come on, little man, let’s see you back up the little man comments & remarks.

Remember, little man, I own my guitars and amps. Got a problem with it? PM me.

Hey assclown, T2 was selling Fender guitars and amps at an authorized Fender dealer before you ever popped your first pimple.

He's fixed or helped to fix more peoples' Fender gear from his goddam computer right here on this forum than you'll ever own.

And so far as can be determined, he's never been banned from any forum or discussion group for any reason.

It's prevaricating alpha hotels like you who create sturm und drang on a forum then wimp and snivel to the moderators that "gee, they're picking on me".

Go pound sand.

Arjay
