Nice one; I've always liked those original run American Deluxes in the trans teal. Nice Strat Plus Deluxe also.

Both guitars are very lovely to behold but I don't think that's called crimson red. Crimson red was a transparent color. I have a Tele in crimson red and it's nothing like that color. That teal was the only color which went well with those minty green guards, IMO. I had one on a Tele and one a Strat and they've both been replaced. Looks good on yours though.

Just think of how awesome a guitar player you could have been by now if you had only spent the last 10 years practicing instead of obsessing over pickups and roasted maple necks.

Most pics do make the guitar blue. The first pic show the true color, but not close enough to see the grain.

Looks just like mine, except the for fretboard

Here's the pic I took at the pawn shop/music store when I put it on layaway:

Here a pic I took one night when I was bored. I took the pickguard off just to see what was in there. I was working nights and had a night off. What are supposed to do on a Sunday night?

I've seen a few post-2004 transparent teal Deluxes on a couple of Japanese websites in the recent past. These guitars were supposedly Factory Special Runs as there weren't part of the regular production line.

Personally I like the HSS models with the mini floyd rose bridge.

I noticed that your Strat have a special Bridge. I remember when these bridges first came out and always wondered how much trouble it was to change strings. Any comments?

Guitar is not mine, I picked this picture from Chris Guitars for reference purposes.

That bridge has nothing special, it's just a modified American 2-point tremolo bridge with locking saddles.

Awesome! Beautiful!

I am not getting the "green" so I am thinking "trans green" for transitional?
Blue is part of green.

Two colors of guitars I am dying to have are: Blue & Green.
I have way too many "bursts". Need a change of pace.

I love that your's is more of a stain to show off the nice wood grain.
Nice score. Toppscore 8)

If I'm remembering correctly Fender actually called this color "Transparent Teal" - in some lighting conditions they show up more greenish than in other lighting conditions. As I mentioned before - it was a very cool color for those original American Deluxes. I particularly liked the Teles in this color with the binding around the top.
