You can turn your Ultra into an HSH guitar.

Image

Just swap the pickguard for an HSH one and add another dual Lace Sensor (Blue/Gold) in the neck with a second 3-way toggle to split the neck humbucker.

If your guitar has a Silver Sensor in the middle, you'll get the same config as the modified Strat Plus pictured above.

Xhefri has customized many of his guitars in such way.
Thanks for letting me know about eight combinations  Toppscore 8)
Counting pickups from the neck to bridge..there are two pair: 1.2.; .4
The H-H gives you 1.2 1.2.3.4 3.4; then you can have
1.2.3.; 1.2.4; 1.3.4; 2.3.4; 1.3; 1.4; 2.3; 2.4;

Negatory. It's not my gig. I spent my professional career doing that kind of stuff to humans. The guys to query about same are Martian and Xhefri. Xhefri's the Strat Plus Meister as you can tell from his website. I'm just offering a mathematical potential based upon four pickups.

Maybe one day I will shoot a family photo of my guitars
and share all of the unique features & wiring & modifications.
Therefore my interest in the eight mods from an HSH. Toppscore :)

Of course you realize that this not an HSH. What I've done is looked at the concept of 2 Lace Duallys, treating them as four single coils, in possible combinations with the first three being classic HB neck, middle, and bridge.

Personally I prefer HHH which is more versatile. Kinda sort of a Gibby LP Custom Black Beauty with enhanced switching options for coil tap, split, series, parallel and out-of-phase.

Mid Boost, TBX and S1 switch mandatory.

Sensors are a whole difference concept anyway.

Owned two PRS's in my life. Lovely gear but Fender still rings my chimes.

With all of this talk I just had to fire up my old no.1 Strat, a 1990 Standard which I believe was one of the very early ones to come out of Ensenada. The hardware and electrics were nothing special and through a process of evolution it now has Blue, Silver and Red Fender Laces, MDX and TBX, Sperzels, high mass block and the usual go faster goodies.
Straight into my Koch Twintone it always exceeds my expectations. I go off and play my Parkers, pointy Ibanez, Gibson LP etc for a bit but the sheer tonal quality and versatility are simply unbeatable.

End of indulgent ramble!
