Has anyone ever tried putting two strat pickups that a RWRP right together and wiring them in series to make a humbucker?

Most humbuckers I've tried sound OK when you split them. But I wondering if two quality single coils would make a good humbucker and you'd get the 100% authentic strat tone when you split it.

A fine example of such pickups is the Lace Sensor Dually.

Lace Duallies are two single Sensors combined together in a humbucker configuration.

Both coils of the pickup are wired individually and left that way, so that the user may choose whether to wire them up as a humbucker, or one of several other ways.
