Found this for sale, all said was MIM strat "50's style" v shaped neck. Made an offer I can live with, seller agreed ($275). My concern is there are 11 screws in the pick guard, and both classic, and CP MIM's only have 8 screws. It does have 6screw vintage trem. Just wondered what you might think. I'll know more when I go see it, but something doesn't seem right to me. It looks like a MIM '50s Classic Strat in Surf Green which has had its 8-screw single-ply pickguard replaced by a modern AmStd 11-screw three-ply type.

I agree with above with above comments.

The single ply pickguard that comes on this model tends to warp and is often replaced with something better.

For $275 in that condition, who cares if the pickguard has been changed? That is a good deal on a fine looking Strat! Play it like you stole it!

Yeah, I guess I stole it, but I won't loose any sleep over it!!! Actually I already have. Spent 1 night tearing it apart, cleaning, setting up, and will probably loose more playing it! :D
So the pickguard was replaced, but luckily the previous owner did not drill the extra holes, so thats a plus, the back plate was missing, and there was a small crack behing the neck pocket.(it was just the polyester). with all that I managed to haggle down to $225! I did glued the poly back down to the wood, and the crack is barely noticible, and affects nothing. Of course I had to buy this nice strap to go along with the theme!
