Hi folks,

after fighting through a court trial against one of my private insurances for almost 5 years, I finally won!

So I took a small part of the money and decided to reward myself to make good for 5 horrible bad years I went through.

Here's the result and I'd like to share a picture of my new family with you:

Image

NEW in top line:

2nd from right: Fender Mexican Precision bass in black with gold anodized pickguard.
Actually I'm not a bassist but I like to record bass lines myself when recording at home.

NEW in bottom line:

2nd from left: 1996 Fender American Lonestar Strat with Texas Specials and a Pearly Gates humbucker.

4th from left: 1996 Fender Mexican Standard Strat. I'm gonna sell this again, I hardly play it.

6th from left: 2009 Fender American Deluxe Stratocaster in cherry sunset burst, with Fender Noiseless PUs.

7th from left: 1970 Ibanez 2020 in 3TSB

8th from left: 1969 Ibanez 2030 Bass in 3TSB
I bought both Ibanez together because they match perfectly and are a nice couple.

Well, for all these axes it was time for some new amplification besides the Fender Cyber Twin which I own:

Hughes & Kettner Statesman Head with H & K 4x12" cabinet.

Image
Hughes & Kettner Tubemeister18 which I use with my Vox V112VHT vintage boutique anniversary cabinet (I sold the Vox Night Train because I wanted an effects loop and the Vox didn't have one).

In addition I bought some nice pedals, yesterday my Republic Delta Rocket resonator guitar arrived

and I have two Strat projects in progress.

Thank God my wife shares my love for guitars (yes, I got married 4 weeks ago) :D

As I said, there's two more Strat projects on the run and I struggle with getting myself a Tele (white with black PG and RW neck).
The latter is kinda never ending story. Dunno if it'll ever happen.

I guess I'm done ...... more or less ......

On the other hand: there's that gold glitter Strat on eBay.......

GOD, DON'T TEMPT ME!!!! PLEEEEAAAASEEEE! ha ha ha

Looks like a nice sane family portrait to me! I think you can take off the mental straight jacket and enjoy those puppies. I always thought the lighting on those H&K was kind of cool!

Honestly, and I don't say that because I'm German (as is H&K), those Hughes & Kettner amps deliver both, the American and the British sound worlds very convincing and you should take a look inside!! This is quality made in Germany which a Marshall or Orange cannot deliver.

I was a big Orange fan until I looked closer. H&K completely convinced me and they deliver top notch quality for a way smaller price than the "leading companies".

And yes, they look REALLY cool with that blue lighting behind plexi glass.

From now on I'll play Fender and H&K amps. Period! I just love'em to death!

Neither did I!!

I wet through the worst 5 years of my life and I even expected my last guitars would have to go but I finally won that nerve tearing court trial.
That enabled me to finally get me the equipment I wanted, even within a very short time.

Don't ask me how IO suffered DURING those 5 years ;)

I'm back on the sunny side of life again and I enjoy it.

Oh yes, I did! :D

Besides a new kitchen (she LOVES to cook!) she got a bunch of clothes she wanted and I had a song written for her.

I'm good at playing guitar (so people say) but I suck in writing lyrics and my recording equipment and experience isn't the best. My vocals are the worst!!

So I decided to have a song written and performed/produced/recorded by indie multi award winner music star MARIA DAINES & PAUL KILLINGTON, whom I happen to know for a couple of years already (my former "SoundClick.com" years).

I wanted the song to be perfect! It cost me a bunch of bucks but hell, they delivered a great song with lyrics which tell the story of me and my wife (we had been married in 1988, got divorced very quickly, had no contact for 22 years and after years of searching the internet she found me. We met, fell in love again and now we are reunited after 22 years).

The song's called "Second Time Around".
I wanted it to be a blues rock song with a touch of ZZ Top.

Here it is: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rwh_VdG-EzQ
It's a video with our wedding pictures and the song. ENJOY!!

Yeah Smokin', that's what I was thinking too.
Good thing, you must have a good one.
No you're not in for a psycho evaluation, you are just one lucky dog.
Awesome that you would find The One who shares your love for guitar(s).

I just made a bundle on a side-project.
Spent 1500 on GAS and gave her the other 4500.
C'mon fellas, that seems pretty fair, doesn't it?

'n-joy
