Hiho!

I want to customize my Squier Affinity and dont know how to relic the Headstock and possibly the neck of it.
Its a new China Affinity.
I want to use the shoe polish trick.
So how do i do that exactly and what color of shoe polish should i use?
Brown kiwi polish?
Then detach the tuners etc. and just put on some polish on the headstock, wait an hour and clean the headstock to see what it looks like?
Or should i use water with it?
And after that should i put some wax or something on it?
And does tinting the neck affect playability like when i touch the neck with my thumb it feels different because of the used polish?

Sorry for my bad english skill ... reflects my guitar playing skill

Greetings

bury it for a week and then dig it up an leave it in the sun for a month or so

its difficult to realistically age a poly finish.

My best friend is relicing his guitar by never putting it in a case. He just puts wear and tear on it. It's already starting to get pretty worn.

Keep in mind that the paint will not wear like an old Strat because it's most likely not nitrocellulose.
