Ash body, gold hardware, Vintage Noiseless pickups, a mini switch for extra tones, a 12 inch radius fretboard and some nice looking transparent finishes on the solid color Deluxe Players.

Both Mexicans, or Deluxe Mexican & American Standard?

It depends what you want. I personally would buy an American Standard and do my own mods if I wanted. The Deluxe comes out of the box with a lot of choice mods.

Some people aren't huge fans of the Noiseless pickups. I like the writing on them. That's it. Also think that tortoiseshell looks pretty crap as a pickguard, and thought it could be heavily improved with a black or pearly one. Then you have to accommodate for the Super Switch, which most 'guards aren't drilled with, etc, etc.

Play both. If you like one more than the other, buy it. The Deluxe is a more versatile guitar. The Standard I think is more tasteful, and will hold its value better (if you're concerned about that).

The gold hardware what makes this guitar a bummer actually... sooner or later, it will just corrode and will look fugly. I almost bought it when I saw it on sale in a local shop here.. ended up with a Blacktop. 8)
