Hey guys. Long story short (actually it's just short), I'd like to be able to hit this tone with a strat: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S8sVAY2TlYo

For now, let's say Yngwie's sig is not an option. His new tone is way different now, anyway.

How would Blackmore's strat cope with this? Why is it (in my country) 7k HRK (a bit above $1000) cheaper? Is it... worse, or?

I can't say much more except that I have a Marshall JVM410C and the strats I've really (as in, for a bit longer time) tried and liked the neck were American Special and a FSR my cousin got (a beauty!). Those I believe have a modern C shape neck, and my current guitar (ESP LTD) has a thin U neck.

Cheers!

Any ideas? I'm seriously liking the Blackmore strat.

Taken from his web site:

In other words, overdrive, wah, octaver and delay into a Marshall stack are the roads to tone for Yngwie.... if his web site is accurate.

Just think of how awesome a guitar player you could have been by now if you had only spent the last 10 years practicing instead of obsessing over pickups and roasted maple necks.
