Just purchased this new shiny strat changed the strings to the Fender 150 Original Bullets Pure Nickel Wound Electric Guitar Strings - 09-42

The G String is driving me nuts as it is louder more pronounced than any of the other strings...Why?

Originally people used 10-46 with a wound
g so the G pole on the pickup was raised
to compensate. people started using plain
g 's it would jump out . thus the modern stagger
with a lower g pole . some people have
grown acustom to that sound of vintage
pickups with a plain string (myself included)
but I use 10 - 46 try lowering the treble
side a touch
