Post subject: Tinny/raspy sound from G string.

I have been getting a very annoying tinny/raspy sound from my American Fat Strat (American Deluxe HSS now, I think) on the G string. After switching my strings to the new Cobalts from EB, I now get this on the D string and it is very annoying. Has anyone else ever had this problem?

When you slightly press the G string between the nut and tuner, does the sound go away?

If it does you can...
A. Have a tech make a small adjustment to your nut
B. Tie or weave a small bit of material around the G string above the nut.
