Hey all you experts out there. I just bought my first Stratocaster and decided to tackle set up myself. I have used the specs on Fender's website. I'm still getting fret buzz in the middle of the neck. To eliminate it, I either have to raise the action much higher than spec (or that I enjoy playing) or put too much concave in the neck. If it helps, it is a 2006 MIM Strat with a rosewood fretboard. The guitar has been played very little and has spent most of its life hanging on the wall in the origianl owner's music room. I would appreciate any suggestions as the guitar is a joy to play otherwise.

hi , the specs give are really just a starting point for doing setups , you might night a touch more relief on the neck and a slightly higher action than indicated , if you'r still getting fret buzz you might be needing a fret level , HTH , cheers
Alan

How many times are you going to ask? It hasn't even been a week yet.

The Fender specs are just a starting point.

If you really have to raise the action that high, it sounds like a fret level may be needed.
