Since I was knee high to a grasshopper, I always wanted a Custom Shop Strat, a Texas Special HSS and something which was a bit different.

Fender never had one guitar that was all of those, so I went without.

Last year, they released the Custom Classic FMT HSS, and I went a little bit mental.

Tried out a Candy Red one, loved it, hated the colour.

Tried out a Candy Blue one, loved it, didn't have the cash to hand.

Tried a Sunburst one, hated it.

Tried another Candy Blue one, and the clutch on my car disintegrated as I went to get the money for it.

I was rather shocked when, earlier this month, I walked into a music store that I wasn't planning on visiting and there she was... the perfect Candy Blue FMT HSS, sitting there, waiting for me.

Tried, loved, finally managed to put the required deposit down and went back to pick her up...

I think I may have finally found a cure for my Strat GAS. Fender, thank you for making such a wonderful instrument. Since I've brought it home, I've not been happier with a guitar.

Plus, the palindromical serial number rocks my boat faaaaaaaaar too much. :D

Thanks guys. Got another photo coming once my new set of control knobs turn up... my Ol' Red has mutated yet again... photos coming once the relevant goods are here!

Spent all afternoon playing it. So much love, so little time.

Would it be sacrilege to add an LSR nut..? Not exactly reversible...

Wow. That's a fine looking guitar.

I expecially like the way they have the topside grain...like a mirror image split down the middle.

Congrats!

This Strat is your's for life!!

This question is the EXACT reason I sold off all of my vintage guitars
and purchased more recent ones ~ so I can mess around with the
wiring, potentiometers, pickups, toggle switching, push/pull electronics,
nuts, tuners & bridges/tremolo systems.

If you are planning on selling it, there will be plenty of buyers who love LSRs.

Is that a maple top on your Strat body? Toppscore 8)

See, that's the thing... l don't plan on selling this guitar... LSR it is then! ;)

Yes- as HeyJoe pointed out, it has wonderful bookmatching! It's not the most obvious top but it is wonderful under lights.

Will hopefully post some soundclips too... just dropped a CS69 & Fat '50s in my Ol' Red, so a comparison is in order!
