Hi, I got a Jeff Beck strat with the LSR roller nut ( 2011) . Every time I use my tremelo, every string got out of tune, especially the g-string. It's is way out of tune. The shop where I purchased the guitar, Feedback, Eindhoven, The netherlands, said they ordered a new roller nut round 8 march. They say that it has still not arived. Can you tell me how long it normal take, is the nut on stock or is there a special reason why the nut still isn't arrived in Eindhoven, 4 months seems to me a little .. euh ...unreal..

Thanks Gerard.

Thanks for your reply. I have seen the video's.
The problem is that de balls in the nut will not roll. My guitar will not stay in tune. Every stingbend, every time I use the tremelo a little bit ( no dives) the guitar gets out of tune. If I tune the guitar, ist hell, the strings seems to bite in the balls and if I have to tune down, there is no reaction on the tune when turning the machine heads until it suddenly drops half a note...
I have tried oil, releasing the balls by lifting the 'holders' ( sorrry don't know the word).

I got an Fender Strat contemperary, made in Japan , over 25 years old .... that one stays in tune for a week... (had to replace the locks and trem 6 years ago ) The Jeff beck is 1 year old and it will not stay in tune for 10 minuts from the beginning .... not very practical on stage ...

I don't have an answer for when you'll get the new nut. But, don't get discouraged. My Am Dlx HSS has the LSR nut and it never goes out of tune. It just totally amazes me, how stable it is. So, I'm pretty sure that when you get a properly working nut, you'll be real happy with it.

Hello breukie: LSR roller nuts are off-the-shelf items widely available. Not cheap, but you can get one with next day delivery from many online suppliers in Europe, including:

http://www.thomann.de/gb/fender_rollensattel_lsr.htm
http://www.axesrus.com/axeNuts.htm
http://www.allparts.uk.com/online-shop/ ... -4652.html (amazingly expensive!)
http://www.guitarandampshop.co.uk/acata ... -000_.html
http://www.absolutemusic.co.uk/store/in ... 2BShopping

and of course all over Ebay at better prices, for example:

http://compare.ebay.co.uk/like/37057896 ... sbar&cbt=y
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Fender-LSR-Ro ... 3a75d9681a

Of course, if your shop is going to replace the part under warranty then if they don't stock it they'll have to get it from their Fender rep. That may take longer, but they should be able to tell you how long. Your three month wait seems absurd. I'd be nagging them about it if I were you.

Cheers - C

Thanks for your support. It helped me a lot. I'll continue nagging for a few days and then I'll buy me one and replace it myself. It's good to know that after all it wil do what I hoped for... keep the guitar in tune... :-)

I'll let you all know.
