Recently I sold a Fender Classic Player 60's Stratocaster. I wanted to keep it, but I didn't like the CS '69 pickups in it (even though they were initialed by Abby!). I thought about replacing the pickups for Dimarzio Area's or Texas Specials, but decided to just sell the guitar. For what I sold the guitar for, I found a used 2001 American Standard that had the same 3TSB with a Rosewood fretboard. But this one had a black pickguard and Texas Specials already in it. Bingo! Sold a MIM and got a MIA for $50 more. Bad news when it came in.... The pickups were not TS, just standard MIA single coils... Blah! After going over it with the store manager (guitar was shipped from one store to another from out of state), they were kind enough to drop in a NEW set of Texas Specials at no cost. Since I really liked the Classic Player's look, I opted for a Mint pickguard instead and swapped the white covers for black ones. Now I have the perfect strat for me and I love that Delta Tone control for the bridge. Add in my Tubescreamer to the BillM modified Blues Jr. Tweed, I have one heck of a tone machine! Absolutely love it!!!

DB...Nice score. Glad to see they stood by what was posted when it arrived not as advertised. Nothing like having your guitar set up exactly the way you want it! Play it like you stole it!
