Can anyone tell me what this screw is for?
Image
It goes through the block, touches nothing other than the block, and for the life of me I can't see a reason for it.

I have tried to do a forum search but regardless on how I input my search terms I get about 2,000+ results. I just don't have the time to read all those post lol.

I love my Strat Plus Deluxe and its locking bridge. I am putting another Delxue locking Bridge in my Strat Plus.

I would greatly appreicate your help.

Thanks
Don

Here are two pics of my all time favorite guitars.

Hello Cosmkdebris,

I have no experience with this bridge,
but I'm thinking the screw is used to
limit and/or vary travel of the tremolo.
Keep us posted.

Cheers.

The location on the diagram is interesting and confusing. I have an Am Deluxe with the hex screw located in line with the trem arm. The screw on mine is for tightening the trem arm in place. I had a problem with the arm falling out until I gave this little puppy a slight turn, now she stays in and is a bit less "floppy".

Agreed, it is not long enough (about 7mm) to come out to prohibit bridge travel. If one were to screw it out far enough to touch the body it would fall out before it hit wood.

The two allen screws inline with the trem arm are used for adjusting the freeplay of the trem arm.

The only thing I can figure is it was used in the production of the block for milling purposes and the screw was added to mass or to fill the hole.

It is just a hole in the block with a screw in it with some threadlock on it. It does not do anything.

Tis' a puzzle indeed friends.
