Hi LasseK,

The actual date is usually written or stamped on the neck somewhere. Sometimes it is written or stamped on the sticker on the heel, or stamped or written on the end of the neck closest to the body. The serial number, if on the neck, can also give the approximate date of manufacture, at least the year will usually be indicated.

Hi Shimmilou. Thanks for your answer. The numbers 2211-001 are actually stamped on the end of the neck closest to the body, The actual serialnumber of the body indicates a 1969-model, but I´m just wondering if the neck is a 69 as well?

I don't think so. If it were a '69, there would be a date stamp. Something like; "SEP69B" or something similar. The number that you referenced sounds like a manufacturers part number. Neck plates can be easily changed, as well as any other parts.

Post some pics of your guitar, and someone here could help verify it's authenticity. I'm certainly not an expert on the subject.

The stamp that I'm referring to is only visible with the neck removed. And by stamped, I mean a rubber stamp that leaves an ink impression. Are the numbers that you are referring to visible with the guitar assembled?

No, the numbers are only visible with the neck removed as you say.
