Please don't buy stuff like this. It's dishonest and makes you part of it.

NO...It's not worth One Yen.....

1st ....it's pirated, so if you buy it I will not have any sympathy for you getting nailed and having it confiscated.......

Not to be overly harsh but this really  gets me. There are definitely legitimate musical instruments made in china, some by Fender, some by Eastman....If you are going to buy a chinese product at least buy one that is not a rip off of an original...

I've come across two of these Chinese fakes now. One a LesPaul Standard that was pretty terrible. It cost the owner £250 and was impossible to keep in tune or set up to a decent standard.
The other a Les Paul jr double cut that I went to look at with a view to buy for £150. It was ok, nothing stunning but about as good as any other average guitar out there. In sound and playability.
I didn't buy it. My experience of the LP standard knock off put me off in the end. But as a stage throwaround, it was ok.

Really, stay away from the counterfeits. They confiscate an awful lot of them now (side effect of Gibson laying on C&I about all of the Gibsuns showing up), and anyone who has even the smallest clue on what to look for will know it's not real.

There are good guitars that come out of China. You can indeed hit the lottery and get a counterfeit that sounds and feels good. It's possible. I'm a budget guitarist, but I'm also concerned with quality. When I got my acoustic I did a lot of shopping. My acoustic is Chinese built, a GAD Guild. It's a GAD-30R that I bought just before they decided to separate the model numbers even further. I can't afford an F-30R, but at least some of the sale went to Guild. It is an incredible guitar. The only flaw (other than the small dent I put in it that no one will ever notice but it might as well be painted bright orange to my eyes...) is that someone got a little sloppy when gluing on the neck and there's a tiny drop on the soundboard and a little extra on one side of the neck. In all other ways it is equal to any F-30R I have ever seen, just with a little more bling, for a third the cost. A Martin 000-28 doesn't sound that much better to me. FMIC picked a good factory to work with for GAD production.

It's not necessarily where it's built, or even that the design's a ripoff - it's the dishonesty of the counterfeit. The most obvious thing when you look in the soundhole of my Guild is "Made in China". That counterfeit says Made in America.

I say buy it, only two things can go wrong here. you pay and never see it or you get it and it is an awful guitar. either way you get what you should for trying to buy counterfeit goods.

Wooooah! I wasn't saying buying pirated or copyrighted material was right, I was just wondering on the build quality as I need a new body for my own custom Sambora I want to build. Yea I know you shouldn't buy fake merchandise but there is no other way to get a Paisley body that color, then buy the real Sambora Paisley or go the cheap knockoff route. I figured for the money that body looks "similar", obviously not the same as a real Paisley Sambora, but still would look nice I think with a good neck. But I was curious of the quality, like what it is made of if any one had bought it.

Yea so sorry to sound like I am advocating purchasing rip off items, but there is no other way to get that same look on a guitar body than to buy the overly expensive real deal(I can't afford) or just purchase this fake for the body.

Yea I won't be buying it and yes its dishonesty, but the nice thing is I could afford it for the purpose I need it for, where as Fender no longer offers that Paisley body anymore(unless you go the custom route).

Good Points! Thanks for the info!

It's also quite probable that the neck pocket will be routed incorrectly, the screw holes will definitely not match....Wood working needed, further expense and you may have a difficult time finding a tech or luthier willing to touch it....I wouldn't.... not for any money..

You could buy a Heffner body and have it painted for under $400.00 or just look around.
Point is there is no way to tell what that body is, or wether the photo you see on the desktop is actually a guitar for sale, but more likely it is the show piece and the actual shipped  guitars are way off and substandard......

But if you are sold  on taking the plunge

Don't Say We Didn't Warn You......

If it's the body you're interested in there's no way the neck pocket is correctly routed to match a legitimate Fender strat neck.

Infact, any or all of the parts would likely prove entirely useless.

Have you tried the Squier Classic Vibe line? For less money you can get the real deal, and I promise it's about the best quality-to-dollar buy you can get on a guitar.

I don't think anything we say will dissuade him from buying it, Op's replies are like this... :?

Oh No... :!: :!: I would never buy counterfeit.....But it's something I need for that Price...

I already said I wouldn't buy it as a few people here made quite compelling points on why it isn't a good idea and who even knows what the body is made of.....could be cardboard for all I know. Either way, once again thanks for your opinion and for putting words in my mouth! Saying my reply would be "but its something I need for that price" is way out of line. I never once said I "needed" it. I just said its a nice looking Paisley body(no where near as awesome looking as a real Sambora Paisley body) that I thought would of looked cool with my "sambora" inlay neck or whatever. I did state I changed my mind and thanks for the points by some of the people on here who aren't rude like yourself. A few years back when I use to come on here more often, people had healthy debates/discussions about guitars with no issue but you just seem to keep trying to fuel the fire. Either way, I admitted my mistake, apologized to the members on here, and letting the issue die. To the mod's, sorry again and if you could lock this thread as well it'd be greatly appreciate! Is there a way I can go about deleting my account? Never once have I had a problem on a forum before until now so its probably best I leave this one. To the people who I did talk to over the years, I wish you well and keep rockin' guys!
