All in cases when not played, away from visitors fingers...
A CS 56 NOS should be in its case as so are the MIM and the Stratopartster builds

Mine stay in their cases when not gigging or playing around the house. Easier to keep temps and humidity consistent as well as protection from people who have no business messing with them.

I have about a third of my guitars either on the walls or on stands on the floor. Other peoples' hands and falling trees are not an issue since my guitars are in my temp and humidity controlled basement Music Room at all times except when they are out gigging.





My other guitars are in an adjacent store room in hard cases (for the better ones) or gig bags. The temp and humidity are also controlled in the small store room.



I've never had any trouble with "fret sprout" or warped necks. Just pay attention to the heat and humidity and you should have no trouble. I use a small dehumidifier in the summer months and a couple of small humidifiers in the winter.

I love being able to walk into the Music Room and pull down any of 20 different guitars and start playing. It also makes it easy to play a number of different guitars in an hour or two, which is something I frequently do.
