Hi, It been a long time!
I bought Les Pauls Custom Shop Richie Sambora Strat!
I know you all heard of how Les gifted a white Les Paul to Richie when he was young. I can only assume Richie gifted this to Les. If anyone knows the story behind the guitar, it would be to cool to get something on paper to go along with this axe. Richie are you reading?

The Les Paul auction was held online this weekend. I could not afford les's 61 SG Custom so I bought a couple cheap trinkets! One would be this Fender. Who in there right mind would pay what I paid but heck who in their right mind would go to Mr. Gibson's auction to buy a fender in the first place? The Number 1 Nocaster went for $180,000.000! My gosh! Who would have thought Les owned it?

Hi bajasdogs: just seen this thread and surprised you've had no replies to it yet. So I'll ask the obvious questions. Did you attend the auction in person? If so, have you got interesting stories to tell us about it? Do you have some photos of the Strat you'd like to share with us? And if it's not tasteless to ask, how much did the LP-Sambora set you back?

Impulse buy? 28g Heck ya! I bought these online and drove over to the gallery in Beverly Hills to pick them up. I just now pluged in the Strat and it screams! I've been pickin' on the Les Paul for a couple of days. So the story goes that Les Paul gave Richie the Golden sword to "cut the $@!&"!

I didn't know it at the time as it was a true impulse buy, but this pair of guitars is out of Les's Sambora collection! I just wanted a freakin' Plain white custom and was willing to pay for it. The white Les Paul is a 1988 Duplicate of the guitar that was given to Richie by Les in 1988 to record the album New Jersey! You can read about it in Rolling Stone! Les must have loved it as it is in like new condition but heavily reliced and shows heavy play wear on the frets.

The Strat was givin' to Les sometime during the Fat Tuesdays Gigs! Anyone got a 9 volt battery?

I think I'l paint it red, white and blue Buck Owens Style. ;O)

And the Les Paul. The Strat is too much. I ordered a factory trem bar. But now I see it's not needed as the trem works with the palm very nicely. Now I know why it's MIA.

It's cool! I think it's my favorite!
