If you "didn't know", then why would you start your previous threads; "I know that you aren't supposed to list anything for sale, but..." ?

And, yes you mentioned in this thread that you wanted to sell.

Honestly its been a while so I truly forgot that I listed that strat for sale on here and so forth....fair enough shame on me....but I wasn't trying to sell the neck on here at all. I originally asked for the value or possible value of the neck and stated later on how I am torn about it, but might be willing to part with it if I got offers. I'll re-read through the thread but I don't think I tried selling it in this thread to anyone on here. If I did it had to be well after the first post.....still though, why did I come on here to basically be called a scammer because some one on here asked if I got the neck off the Paisly fake.....when I only was asking about the quality of the paisly fake body as I figure I can still use the neck for my own custom then. I wasn't hounding people to buy the neck.

Yea I meant that in terms of offer it up for sale in general. If you go back a page, to page 1, at the bottom after getting info from various members I was debating about listing it on ebay with a best offer option. That is what I meant by what I wrote......but yea things are getting taken wrong. My apologies if things were worded wrong.

Thanks! I honestly didnt mean for this thread to get to this point and this neck is honestly not from that fake and you can compare pics of that neck to this one to confirm it, but my apologies to everyone on here who has to read this mess. I ask the moderators to close this thread and if you could, can you delete my account? My credibility is now tarnished so no reason to chat on this forum no longer....my apologies!

I disagree! I feel that you have rescued your credibility by owning up to it. Stick around, you've become quite the expert on Sambora Strats.

I would but once you get questioned if that neck came from a knock off, then you know your now lumped in as a scammer. I don't even know how this neck got compared to the fake Paisley strat neck as that neck has a different color hue and I showed the similarities between the non perfect sambora neck to the perfect sambora neck I have. I even confirmed the serial number on the perfect one to make sure its legit and it checks out. But either way, at this point the damage is done. Best of luck to you, and thanks for the info to the guys that were respectable and all.

Take care!

Quote from rdfnd1253....

" Yea I won't be buying it and yes its dishonesty, but the nice thing is I could afford it for the purpose I need it for, where as Fender no longer offers that Paisley body anymore(unless you go the custom route)..."

I wasn't being nasty or rude, but once the neck and the other neck and paysley strat were ID'd as knock off's that should have been it...

The reason as to why all of the above never came from Fender is because companies like Fender do not let their employee's keep necks or bodies that are mistakes like this Sambora neck. Nor do they sell rejects out the back door....

This is exactly the scenario they do not want to see.. A neck that failed QC and therefore would/should be either destroyed or reused for in-house purposes.
Here it is pictured on the Forum as a neck for sale. I suspect if it was an actual neck and also the Paysley Strat was original, we would have heard from Mike Eldred already as well as from Brad Traweek.

I'm not sure what answer you want but the reality is that those are knockoffs, thus can be confiscated due to their illegitimate origins.....
OP you can do whatever you wish....However our advice is to look for an MIM or a Squier, have it painted or just wait until one of these real McCoy's shows up for a good price....
That is what most of us do, you are not going to get much sympathy from Fender Forum members when asking and pretty much affirming that you are looking to buy a Fender knock off...And then feigning surprise when the Game is up....

Fair enough, but I was only asking if the one sloppy neck was real and what the markings met. I knew the paisley strat body was fake as you can just look at it, its no where near as cool looking as a legit sambora paisley strat. I agree it might of been dumb of me considering it for the body, but my reasons had no harm intent, but to enjoy the guitar neck on my own custom. I changed my mind though as others pointed out good points like it being confiscated, and just for the fact I try to buy American goods for everything I can in my life. I am pretty crazy when it comes to spending money here in my home country than a foreign country. As for the other neck that is perfect, that one is DEFINITELY legit as the serial number matches fender records, has the "glue" finish and that one could of came off a legit custom shop build when Sambora guitars were being produced at Fender and some Fender players were able to order a custom shop Sambora. I remember seeing one of those sell a few years back with a flame maple neck and for over $4000. The perfect one I forget how the guy came upon it, but it was sold on ebay and like I said I think was off a legit Sambora that was never played(not a sign of wear on the frets) or off a custom Fender Sambora he ordered through Fender. I can't quite remember the exact story as its been a few years, but it was legitely acquired and not a back door deal for it.

The "game" is up? It was probably a mistake on my part to even consider purchasing the fake body to make a franken sambora of my own but still to say "the game is up" is making it sound like I got some evil motive. It's cool though and I got your opinion. The issue is now closed.

Apologies for those that feel I had bad intent and sorry to the mods as I was only asking the value of the guitar neck to see what its value was. Anyway thread dead......apologies all around. IF a mod can lock this thanks!
