Hate to agree with the downside but those misaligned holes for the nut will be your albatross as far as sell price is concerned....

Even if it doesn't affect the nut, which I don't see how it would not affect intonation.
Personally I would fill in the holes and redrill or at best delete the FR or K system once the holes were filled......

Concerning what you paid for the neck versus your ask price, I think you will be fortunate if you can recover 35% of your cost....
It's a neck that appeals to a small percentage of people looking for necks for builds and what nots. At your ask price, you are competing with a perfectly executed Warmoth or other specialty aftermarket supplier... :|

Yea I am not sure if I do want to sell it but figured I'd offer it up for sale being I was in a car accident in Nov and can't play guitar at the moment due to my injury, plus I have fallen behind on a few of my bills, that I have no choice but to liquidate some of my gear. As for the holes being misaligned, I don't even know if that is the proper term to use for this being that the tech I brought it to said it wasn't significant enough to affect intonation at all. It is what a millimeter off, but like you said, a different nut could be installed or the holes could be plugged and re-drilled. I am going to take new pics tomorrow as the flash made the inlays look worse than they are and I will show comparable side by side shots of this neck alongside a known USA Sambora neck I have.

Does anyone know if that is the builders name stamped onto the heel of the neck? I think the inlays look worse than they really are thanks to the finish the person before me put on it as it has a glossy finish.

That stamp is probably just an ID stamp of whoever was finish prepping that neck.
Peghead is off dimensionally and that Custom Shop stamp on a piece of paper is not legit

You are still going to have a challenge to sell this for much more than what an average neck would sell for, because of the refinishing and the misaligned holes.
Since you spent so much initially, it is a loss, I would just build another guitar with it, plug the misaligned hole if need be and call it a day....

edit...see post below which backtracking illustrates that this neck did not originate at the FMIC.

OK...This Charade has gone long enough.....

(1) Neck is a Knock-off....Not an original....Value = :?: Nada
(2) OP just stop trying to find a buyer here on this Forum.
(3) If you actually paid what you said then
(4) IF you are buying " Fake " items from that website then further comments are unnecessary

At this point this is a " FAIL" thread
Are We Done ...Has The Point been Made... :?:

Not the first time for this poster, seems to be a bad habit for him/her. Usually starting off a post advertising something for sale with "I know you're not supposed to sell items on this site, but...." (I'm going to do it anyway).

Knock it off, hock your wares elsewhere. :x

No its not from that I didn't even buy that guitar.....hence why I asked how the body was on it.

I wasn't trying to sell on here I was asking how much value of the neck was. I posted the new pics asking what the stamp on the heel that is in black meant......like is it the builder?
I didn't buy any fake items off that site and only asked about the body as I want a paisley body to put with this neck so I can at least enjoy it.

Why are you being nasty? I wasn't forcing my opinion on anyone!

What are you talking about? This is the first time I have ever even mentioned selling anything and I was on the fence about it, or at least that I can remember. I then asked people how that paisley body is on that knockoff so i can mix the 2 and make my own sambora paisley custom. Its not like you can pass that fake paisley off for the real deal. Then I asked about the heel stamp that is in black ink if that was the name of the builder of the neck. I have been on this site 4 years now and never once had issues with anyone and always had pleasant debates/chats with people on here and now your just insulting me. I get it you think the neck is fake which is fine, I have proof otherwise but to each his own. No need to be an $@! about it!

First off this neck didn't come from one of those paisley strat knockoffs. I wish I never brought up the topic of how the quality was on one of those knockoffs but I meant for the body. Simple way to confirm that is those fake guitar use those Tommy labeled strat necks that don't have the metal round piece on the bottom heel of the neck and a few other differences as well.

You need to go back and read your history. You've tried to sell things on many occasions.

Maybe a year ago I tried to sell a strat? I honestly didn't know you couldn't sell on here at the time. And this thread didnt say anything about selling it on here I was asking what the neck was worth,....if you re-read what I first posted.
