Ok, let me preface this with the statement that I know nothing about electric guitars other than what I have learned in the past 6 months. I have played acoustic for a long time.

I have a Am Deluxe HSS, and the E string on the bridge pickup is a lot hotter than the rest of the strings. I know that the bridge pickup is hotter than the others, but when I am set solely to the BPU, the E is significantly hotter.

Does this mean I need to lower the pickup at that string? I'm not afraid to open it up, but any direction to how to correct that one pin would be appreciated.

On the M and N pickup, I don't have this problem, so I don't think that it is string height relative to the entire guitar, just that one pin.

Any help would be great.

Thanks!

Usually there is an adjustment screw on either end of the pickup. Counterclockwise turns should lower it on that respective end. Be careful not to lower the coils below the pickguard or the screw may become loose from the baseplate.
