If it's your first electric guitar, buy a genuine one!!

This is a project guitar!
It's hard to judge the value on guitars like this, especially if you're unexperienced.

It doesn't say what body it is! Who knows, it might be a cheap plywood body???

Who knows if the guy knew what he was doing when fooling around with the guitar??

As a strat beginner I WOULD NOT BUY IT!

If it's a massive Elder or ash body, it can(!!) be worth the money.

I would recommend to buy a new one by test-playing several guitars at a store to check what you like!!
As an alternative: buy a used one which you can test before buying. Do not buy your first electric online without testing it, it would be kinda lottery!

What is it about the Blues Jr. that you don't like so much?

Nooooooooooooo!!!!

Just do a search for Blues Jr, or BJr, to see the numerous threads covering the BJr in the Modern Amp section.

You just sent an invitation to turn the Strat part of the forum into a downward spiraling thread about the BJr.

We already are very familiar with the four people that hate the BJr, and a couple that merely dislike it. There are thousands that really appreciate the BJr for what it is, let's leave the vociferous minority out of it......at least for the Strat section of the forum anyway.

Stay on topic please. :)

Just found out (for those who were skeptical of the body type) that it was a MIM Deluxe Players Strat made of Ash.

Sorry for going off the strat subject but... I found a barely used Blues Jr. amp on craigslist for $350. I'm looking for a good "bluesy sounding" amp at a good price. $350 is more than I want to spend but is the most I am willing to for a good amp.
