Hi all...I need help please.
I play (well I did when it sounded right) a '50's Classic reissue' Stratocaster.
I am no Luthier. But hell I have given it a go..I swapped strings from EB's 10-52's to Fender 9-42's...I now have a buzzing problem. My neck was a little out so sorted that. Took bridge back to normal and retuned. Intonation is out,,so I will have a go at that in morning...The guitar is just over a year old so fret's are fine. I cannot totally eradicate the buzzing though. Where should I go from here??? I know,,,,, a 'Luthier'..
But I really want to give it a go myself first..
Help!!!

Do you hear the buzzing when playing through an amp? I've had electric guitars that seemed to buzz when played unplugged but were fine when amplified.

Matt, once you get the intonation set, if there is still a a buzz check these three things...

1. The nut, if it was cut for 10's, the 9's might be a little loose, only solution there is to replace and have it recut...so a luthier.

2. Check your pickup heights. The specs can be found under the Support Section under "How To" guides.

3. Check to make sure the "Ball Ends" of the string is seated good in block.
