I so wish I could buy a Capri Orange Stratocaster these days, rare birds.
After seeing the Classic 70s, 70s RI and even the FSR Antigua coming back is there any chance for a special run of the Capri Orange Stratocaster (maple neck, big headstock, black parts, white pickguard), or maybe the International Series as a Special run ?
What do you think guys? Wouldn´t it be great having a FSR of the International Series?

Cheers,
Robin

Buy yourself a '70s Classic Strat and a rattlecan of Krylon day-glo orange.

Oh......and you can only play the guitar on Halloween.

I think it´s a really good idea to buy a Classic 70 Series Stratocaster (if I only had kept mine...) and paint it by myself.

I found the color - again it´s a PORSCHE color (like the 25th Anniversary).

PORSCHE color code is L20E - SIGNAL ORANGE
PPG 60617

VW/AUDI used the same color - 60300
Available in spray cans etc.

Cheers,
Robin

The Custom Shop did a pair of '62 Strat and Tele in that finish:

Fender had a contest a few years ago where voters chose from about 4 or 5 colors. I know that a few of them were
Capre Orange
a yellow
a lavender color

There were a few other colors to chose from.

By the way I would find a used Hwy1 and repaint it. Since the paint is nitro w/o a clear coat it will come off easier.

Thanks, great idea to use a Highway1 because of the nitro. Maybe I find a used one never did a complete refinish though.
Could be a hard job stripping a body covered in poly from the threads I read so far.

Cheers,
Robin

Yes think it would be good if the international series colours were offered on the 70s reissue strats 8)

I have seen a number of the original early eighties guitars for sale recently in the UK.
