I just bought my new american standard strat 2010 lately, and i am searching it`s specs on the whole net but i can`t find the 2010 specs, because the latest as of now is the 2012 and the 2011 model...
can you tell me what is the difference between my 2010 v.s 2011, and of course 2012?
what string brand suits my strat the best that not easily to have rust on it?

If you've found the specs for 2011 then you've also found the specs for your 2010 American Standard. In fact there were no changes at all for the basic model (not counting any special editions, limited editions, FSRs, etc.) from 2008 until the new ones came out for 2012.

In fact - I believe the only difference between the 2011 and the new 2012 for the Strats is the pickups changing from the American Standards to the current CS set (Teles got the CS pickups and a back bevel; not sure what the basses got as updates).

not sure what the basses got as updates

US Standard Precision and Jazz Basses also got that CS treatment with Custom Shop '60s P and J-Bass pickups*.

(*The updates affect 4-string versions only.)
