Hey guys.

I just bought the HW1 strat two days ago and was wondering if the tremolo can both sharpen the tone and flat it?
I tried doing it - and it does it beautifully - but I don't want to risk any damage to the guitar as I know some guitars can only use the tremolo to make the flatten the tones, but can't sharpen them without any damage to the bridge & the rest of the guitar.

So in short - is tremolo a one-way or both-ways?

Thanks for the help, I really don't wish to damage my new guitar :)

For a standard setup, the Strat "tremolo" works both ways. You can set the bridge flush with the body, to only dive (flat) if you want, it's up to you, but the "tremolo" was made to work both ways without damage.
