Or maybe was just very well cared for. Though I own some guitars that have gigged and been dinged in the process, I won more than a few that have been gigged quite a bit and are still pristine. End of the gig, the first thing I do is get those babies shut tight in their cases... then tear everything else down.

Snapped the head right off the neck. I guess the good thing is that it stopped the fight. They both apologized and promised to pay for the repairs. Unfortunately I got burglarized a few weeks later and never saw that guitar again.
Hmmm... that sounds a little too coincidental....

Ain't that the truth. All the earmarks of an inside job.

Think of it as just further establishing the fact that it's "your" guitar and not just another Fender. In 5 years, it'll have even more and sometimes y'ull find yourself looking at each ding and thinking back to the memories associated with each ding.

What bugs me is not that it's a new guitar getting it's first ding. It's an '88 strat plus that is in very good condition and I have it listed on CL. Only a couple of minor blemishes plus one more now. Guess I'll have to lower the asking price (which is way to high anyway  ).

Nah, you have to raise it because it's a relic now.

Cheers

David
