Looking to do some rewiring on my Strat and considering a blender kit I saw on Mojotone.
http://www.mojotone.com/guitar-parts/Gu ... it#details

Has anyone tried this or something like it? Is it really worth it?

It's not going to be one of those mods that your going to say "wow, how did I survive without this".

You can buy the blender pot seperate and install it yourself. I did mine using a schematic off the Fralin site. It's pretty simple to do. Unless you need to totally upgrade your electronics, I would just buy the blender pot, if your going to do it.

I mostly play Teles' and I like having the option to have the neck/bridge combo which you can't have with the regular 5-way set up. You could also do that mod with a mini switch or push/pull pot too.

I like the option to be able to add a little of the neck to bridge or bridge to neck instead of just full on like just having a switch would do. I don't really use all three pickups at once like you can in the 2 & 4 positions. The blend doesn't work in the #3 position.

Sounds like a lot of fun.
Tomorrow, my new Strat-like guitar comes with veritone switching.
There will be five up/down switches on the pickguard near the volume controls.
Plus in-phase & out-of-phase possibilities, as well as push/pull features on the
control knobs.

So, let us know what you are up to and if you acheive success :D

Toppscore 8)

Wouldn't pay the over inflated price for a C or D taper pot. I forget which it is. I just use the neck tone pot. It comes in costing a whopping ten pence for a couple of inches of wire.

It's a mod I can't live without.
