Hi all,

I purchased a 2011 American Standard Strat back in January. I love the feel and playability of this guitar but felt that it always lacked something. So, I decided to mod it.

Before:

Modifications:
David Allen Voodoo Blues HSS Loaded Pickguard
Callaham Trem Block, Saddles and Trem Arm
Schaller Strap Locks
Fender Locking Tuners

The D Allen pickups are amazing. While not noiseless, they are waaay quieter than my Am Std pickups. Notes are clear, full and give it a certain....umph! I really like the versatility of the humbucker in the bridge. In combination with the Callaham block and saddles, the sustain is off the charts. When I first plugged it in after installing everything, I played a G chord and my reaction was....WHOA! What can I say about Schaller strap locks and locking tuners....they just work.

So, without further adieu....my modified 2011 Am Std Strat:

To top it all off, I modded my Super Champ XD with an Eminence Rajun Cajun.

I love it! Let me know what you think.

Not yet. However, I plan on adding it later to get that traditional position 2 sound.

Just get a push/pull Volume pot, you can go to Seymour Duncan's website and get their schematic...

Or if you have questions, give Martian a shout/pm.....

David makes some amazing sounding pickups. The more I pay them the more I am impressed. They have amazing clarity and warmth. I'm toying with the idea of replacing the pickups in my Les Paul with a set of his humbuckers.
