Well I've always been a believer, but yesterday I went to GC to try out a new American Standard Strat to see what the deal was with the Fat 50's. Seems that these new Strats have been flying off the shelves because they only had one 2012 American Standard in the whole store (the prior year models are on sale BTW). Well, I was immediately impressed with the Fats....especially the bridge pickup! Previously, I had become a fan of the Texas Specials, but only after setting their heights below Fender's recommended specs. They sounded great, but the Fat 50's look like they'll give the Specials a run for the money. I'm thinking to replace the stock American Standard pickups on my Strat with a set of these!

93GS...I have heard great things about those Fat 50's, but not sure I would give up my Texas Specials. Glad you are digging em though!

What time is it? It's Fender Time.

I just put Fat 50's in my Highway 1. I am extremely pleased with them. I have noticed I have to back off the treble off the tone knobs, but once the tone is dialed in, it has a beautiful clean and can get as raunchy as you like with distortion.
