Other than the choice of finish (i.e. Aztec Gold, Ice Blue Metallic) is there any difference between the FSR (Factory Special Run?) American Deluxe Strat and the "regular" American Deluxe Strat?

Also, does anyone know where we can get a complete list of all Stratocaster models?

These are all of the standard production (non-CustomShop) Strats that Fender produces:

http://www.fender.com/products/index.ph ... on=guitars

Fender does not list FSR guitars made for a particular dealer. For that you would have to go to the individual dealer.

The FSR Deluxe combines modern features with traditional design: vintage-style fretwire and standard 4-bolt neck fixing are few of the juicy additions a vintage buff could expect from a modern instrument.

Available in Ice Blue (shown) and Aztec Gold Metallic!

I got this link by doing a Google search for "Available in Ice Blue (shown) and Aztec Gold Metallic!"
http://www.fender.com/products/search.php?partno=0170161783

It appears to be from the official Fender website but I can't navigatge to the page via Fender, Products, etc. Perhaps the page has been removed?

As for my question regarding Stratocaster models, I neglected to specify that I was looking for a catalogue or resource that lists all models not just the the ones currently in production.

Perhaps you've misspelled the URL, here the correct link:

http://www.fender.com/en-GR/products/am ... No=0170160

Enjoy!

The Aztec Gold FSR is currently not shown in the products page, here's a picture:

Unfortunately these guitars are not available with an HSS configuration.

I believe Fender does some fsr's that aren't for a specific dealer but quantities are limited.

That's what it looks like in this case. Kinda confusing that they would use the same nomenclature for an in house limited run (why not just call it "limited run") as they do for specials built for major customers.

Fender has been using the "FSR" designation for quite a while for both runs made for a single dealer or for short-runs made available to multiple dealers. They also use the nomenclature of "Limited Edition" guitars made availble to multiple dealers.

From what I've seen - "FSR" refers to short runs (50-250) while "Limited Edition" refers to guitars made available for a length of time (3 months, 6 months, 1 year) and as many are made as are ordered by dealers.

Oh - back on topic - the ice blue and aztec gold Am Dlxs are FSRs made available to multiple dealers and the color/pickguards are the only differences from the "regular" Am Dlx SSS Strats. Just like the recent run of candy apple red AV '57s and turquoise AV '62s were only the color was different.

LOL! Yea, I guess it would be a pretty long list but I figure it probably does exist. A Google search came up with this guitar-list site:
http://www.guitar-list.com/brandname/3092/electric+guitars

I don't know if it's accurate but there seems to be a lot of different types of Strats out there.

Interesting site but not a whole lot behind it.

Wow! Beautiful guitar and color.
I always liked a darker blue until I saw the photo.
Thanks for sharing. Toppscore
