Serial is
MZ7307xxx year is 2007-2008

funny thing is this strat has a bit of fret wear... not much but enough to see with the naked eye...

Good sign, means that someone liked to play it...

I am having issues with the tremolo and tuning... I bought a roller string tree and some nut sauce... I am hoping that solves the issue because the tone is awesome and my hands like the neck... I am able to do some good playing on it...

Otherwise there is always returning for a full refund to guitar center..

Guitar is not a rocket science. Sure with a good set up it will work fine, sometimes string are too tight in nut slot . Are the string are bigger than .009 ? Some nut work will fix this . After that if you had nut sauce you'll be ok. I do my mix with graphite and petroleum gel . A Dan Elewin receipe.

This is a mexican Strat, I taught Roadhouse was an american made model . Is the sting T are defect or an american made one would be better ?

stratele, this is a mexican guitar with USA texas special pickups....

the reason why I am replacing the string tree is because without it (taking the B and E strings out) the tuning remains good when using the tremolo...

Its only the B and E strings that are causing issues... I should have mentioned that... Ill put the nut sauce in there for extra ease of movement while using the tremolo...

Not sure the roller string tree will do the trick, but for a few dollars, its worth a try... I think it makes sense it will work since the current string tree seems to be catching the strings with tremolo string movement...

ps the strings feel to me to be 11s or 10s... definitely not 9s

Good idea to try with roller string T , inexpensive. If string are 010 , nut space should be ok ,not sure, but with 011 need some work. Better to put new strings if you play with .009 or .010.

I'm sure you can fix this problem and enjoy this nice guit.

I remember , in 1997 Fender made some American roadhouse guitar not mexican at this time.

The Roadhouse Stratocaster was originally a hot-rodded version of the American Standard Strat (it was later called the American Stratocaster Texas-Special under the American Series banner).

the nut sauce and roller bridge tremendously improved the tuning... I think the roller bridge more so than the nut sauce, but they both contributed to better tuning...
