The big C shape on the Hot Rod Strat is absolutely awesome. It is nice a chunky! The guitar itself is of great quality especially for the value! Great custom shop value for an american vintage price! I have a NOS custom shop and I would put the Hot Rod '62 right up there with it!

The '62 Hot Rod is a great guitar,and the neck is the biggest of any of the Strats that I own...I agree,it's just a very good value short of a Custom Shop Strat....I have 4 AVRIs they're all great.

I haven't touched anything else since I got mine last year. I am already wearing the crown down on the frets in the mid neck area
I just cant put it down

And everything else feels to small!!!!

Sometimes when I get bored I take the neck off my 62 hot rod and hit baseballs with it The hot rod series of guitars are the best mass produced line of guitars that fender has. Its just under the custom shop and master builds IMO. But not as expensive as those two lines which is why I own two of them!
