I bought a Fender Standard Fat Strat and my other Standard is in the shop gettin set up,new pups, pots, and strings. My wife had such a fit I am looking to file for divorce. I have a vision of a wall decorated with guitars. I figure I need about 10 more.

Words to the wise:

If you don't like the idea of having a second opinion to your life, don't marry one. The other option is to have sufficient resources such that she won't give a damn what your hobbies are, as long as hers are paid for.

Anywhere in-between you will have issues and compromises.

If you really want to eat your heart out, go to the Custom Shop Forum, open up 'Custom Shop Blackie" and scroll down to AlainLaFrance's post.
If you haven't seen his collection yet, sit down first. He's shared it with us in several different posts throughout the Forums for many months now. You have to have THIS kind of juice to defuse an objecting spouse, or no spouse at all.

One more observation...and this is one for the ages:

Persons never trained in music will never understand the discipline and the passion for it. They will never appreciate the need to play a phrase over, and over, and over again until it is mastered. They will never understand the emotion that is reflected in what has been referred to as a "guitar face''....that bent note that comes from your soul, driven outward and upward, starting in your feet and ultimately smashing forth through the top of your head. They will never understand how we can exorcise our demons through it, how it saves our souls and brings us peace.

Easier to describe light to the blind, sound to the deaf, and speech to the dumb.

Those who cannot share that with you, cannot possible share your life.

Man - I can dig it. I think we all , at one time or another have experienced this type of feeling. That is why I have an 'X' . My new & improved wife bought me an American Tele for my birthday, totally unexpected and she understands what music /the blues means to me. Guys, if you don't have one like that - I advise to get one. Makes life much easier. 8) GOOD LUCK MY FRIENDS.

Go to "Pics of your Strat" at top of the Forum page>page 44>scroll down to the 'seven beauties' about midway. The first thing your eye will catch is "The Playboy"...

If you bring up his name you can find a record of all his posts. In one of them is a link to a home page where he has displayed his entire collection.

The writer has a point....which is why prenuptual agreements are created and 'look before you leap' is the watchword.
