Hi guys,

This is my first post and maybe my first strat..
Someone is selling this strat but i don't know to much about them so I was hoping you guys could help..

It's a sunburst, H/S/S, 1 volume, 1 tone and a toggle switch. Rosewood board, and just says Fender Stratocaster on the headstock. I havent seen the back yet cause i have only seen photos which i would show here if I could work out how to add them, but no serial number or where made on front of headstock which I thought thats where most are.

Anyway I hope someone can help.

Thanks

Is it a 2 point or 6 screw bridge?

6 point vintage style is generally MIM

All Strat have 1 volume and 2 tone and 3 or 5 position switch .

Very strange then, this one must be a modded or knock off then, it definatly has 1 vol, 1 tone, 1 toggle switch and a 5-way switch.

Not a Strat, but Prodygy ll ( two ) model , made in USA in 1991, one volume one tone, HSS . guitar jack in the third tone hole left empty.

50 years of Fender by Tony Bacon page 101.

I look at the picture in book;
On the neck is only write Prodygy II and " made in usa " , serial number is there. But it is NOT write "Stratocaster"

Also the bridge and the nut is" some kind " of Floyd Rose. I said some kind of , not real .

Is this guitar is a "parts O caster " ? Not a real or original Fender ?

If it is a Prodygy you can't said it is your first Strat . is not a Strat.

I believe "generally" is a broad enough term to not include the few MIA strats that have 6 point trems. **Am. Special & Vintage editions**

If you have the serial number that will help as well.

Of course we need pictures to verify - but to me it sounds like a circa 1995-1996 Fender Stratocaster Special. These were MIM, had HSS pickups, 1 volume, 1 tone, and a mini-toggle to split the humbucker were the second tone control was located.

These were the predecessors to the current MIM Deluxe series - there was also a Tele with a vintage-style Tele bridge and a splittable neck humbucker.
