What is up with this? I am no expert on Teles, but this looks wrong. Looks like a American Deluxe neck, and should the Firestorm finish look like that in the middle of the back?

You're right - it's been modded. At least there is a detailed description for the guitar in the listing - it states the original 1993 (N3 serial number) maple board neck was swapped with this rosewood board neck from a 2004 (DZ4 serial number) American Deluxe Tele because the owner wanted it to "match his Firestorm Strat Ultra". It also states that the owner had "chrome covers" made for the pickups but it claims that they are still the blue Lace in the neck position and the dually Red in the bridge position under the covers. To me that could be true or these could be replacements using post-Fender "Chrome Dome" Laces. And the owner added those pearloid knobs.

I think the body is fine; it seems to me that the way they did the Firestorm finish each body would be different - kind of like those Steve Vai swirl finished Ibanez Jems and Universe guitars.

The neck looks very strange to me
