Would buy a sig model or not and why ? I like sig models because they offfer varity that we maybe would not have gotten in strats like Eric claptons tbx and neck or EJ's pickups and other options that fender might not have provided. I like Eric Claptons strat neck but I also like the 57 hot rod. For me its not whos names on it but the options on it . What should Fender use to decide to make a sig model record sales ? technical abilty ? or changes the artist has made to the guitar to get their sound ?

I am a big fan of Sig Models. I really want to get my hands on the John Mayer Strat. I also would mind an EJ or an Eric Clapton. I just played the Yngwie Malmstein yesterday it was very interesting and sounded great.

I'm not into sig guitars really. I'd never buy a guitar because so and so plays one. That being said, even though I'm not a fan of his my EJ is the finest strat I've ever played. That's why I bought it. It's just a great guitar. My choice had nothing to do with EJ. I just loved the axe. It could have John Denvers name on it and I'd still buy it.

No, I probably would not. as a rule of thumb I dislike sigs very much. If I their is only one sig guitar that I would ever even consider viewing as a possible purchase, and that is the Schecter Jeff Loomis sig. Such a beautiful guitar. However, I dont play 7 strings, so thats out the window for me

I am not a fan of Signature Models. I do not own one and probably never will.

i would only buy a sig model, if it was a really unique guitar, like the John 5 tele, or Jim Root tele.

I'm sure... the guitar costs 3x the price of the JV... I said "at the same price".

I got a MIM Buddy Guy (Red With White Polka Dot), and I want a Jimmy Vaughan Candy Apple Red, or Olympic White. Not so I can sound like them, but because I like something about the guitar.

I also like the Sting Persison Bass, but that's because it's a lot tlike Dusty Hill's '51 Persision.

They seem too expensive compare to regular ones--and if you're going to spend less you can add accessories and pickups & hardware to make it truly YOUR guitar.
