Hi all, I have a problem with noise when I turn the volume control DOWN on my Strat.

When I have the guitars volume knob up at max there is NO NOISE but when I start to "Back Off" the volume the noise (Hiss/Hum) starts.

Its a fairly new guitar and I hope it's got nothing to do with soldier.

I've tryed various things, (Setting up in differant rooms, with and without effects pedals, clean/dirty amp channels, checked leads.) Ive also tryed just the niose suppressor from my Boss GT 3
Its driving me mad

Any help would be appreciated.
Tony

New guitar ; it should be on warranty , return at your music store. Volume potentiometer is probably defective . Need a new potentiometer. For your information , the resistor inside the pot and the wiper ( the arm move by your knob ) have probably a defective contact in down position.

Bad contact = no contact = ground missing = noise
