I have a Fender MIK Stratocaster that I would like to show much love for 30 yrs of music and achievements together by upgrading to brass block and gold trimmings all around. Most parts are easily accessable. The bridge and brass block are of question.Does anyone know what the string spacing should be on a 82 Korean Fender Stratocaster.I understand that Korea made certain special Strats at that time and I believe this may be one.serial E + 7digits

Step 1: Pick up a ruler
Step 2: Measure string spacing E to E at the bridge
Step 3: Done

Fender Korea in 1982?
Fender Japan and Fender Corona, yes. Never heard of Fender Korea from that time though.
Could you please post a picture?

You'll be looking for either 2-1/16" or 2-7/32", it should be one or the other , my bet is 2-1/16".

P.S.

I don't think that E7 was used in '82, but maybe '88 or later. I believe that Fenders were first made in Korea around '88.
