Are there any guitar cases that allow you to store a stratocaster guitar while keeping the tremolo arm on? The regular cases you can store the guitar, but it'll push on the arm so I'm wondering if there's a case that will accommodate for that. It's just kind of tiring to put it on and then screw it in and then take it off again after each time you play it.

Do you really wang on that thing every time you play your guitar? And how often do you play your guitar? And if it's often, why do you put it back in its case after every time you play it? Just curious.

Surely it requires a lot less effort to remove the trem arm than it does to search for such a minimal appeal guitar case.

And it's been my experience with the vintage-style G&G cases that if the trem arm on a vintage-spec bridge is rotated so it's pointing towards the jack boat, the case lid will close without interference and without exerting any pressure on the arm. I've stored my Strats in this manner for 45 years and haven't bent or broken a single one.

I almost hesitate to suggest it, but a high quality gig bag will let you get away with it. Obviously not the same level of protection though.

No problem with a Strat as you can just unscrew the arm in no time at all. But I have few guitars where you need an allen key to relase the grub screw holding the trem arms and thats just a major faff. If it's their turn to be gigged they go in heavy weight padded gig bags with the arms attached and I just have to be more careful..

Oh yeah, I do this all the time. One of my Strats has a G&G case, the other has an actual vintage early-80s case, and both will fit the tremelo just fine if it's rotated towards the jack plate. Now, trying to find a hardshell case that'll fit my Bigsby-equipped Les Paul is a different story, haha.

Thanks for all the responses. I think I'll look up those G&G Cases thanks.

Yes, I do it all the time and have for years. The tweed cases and tolex cases are no problem (even had a '62 in an original brown tolex case, stored it that way too). Like said above, just rotate the arm so it is pointing toward the corner of the case nearest the jack plate.

I just started a thread asking essentially the same thing WRT the gig bags the MIM Strats are coming with.
