Post subject: Removed the trem block from my Clapton Strat

I've had the Clapton Strat for a few months. I absolutely love the guitar but missed the trem. Last night I removed the block, leaving 3 springs, and slightly floating the bridge. I was concerned about losing some sustain, but didn't notice any difference at rehearsal today. It also stayed in tune very well. The trem arm that came with the Clapton is unlike anything I've used before. It angles way out, keeping your hand quite a distance from the guitar if you pick while holding on to it. At first I didn't like it, but got used to it after a while. I might order a new arm to try out. Has anyone used this site:
