Bill, I'm curious to know which pickup you like more.

I'm taking a stab that you'll be more fond of the fralins.

To tell the truth, I can't tell that much of a difference through my crappy computer speakers although I would also give a slight edge to the Fender's. But only slight.

Of the 3 pickups that you listed, I think that the CSs sound the best. I don't have any real experience with any Fralin pickups, but I do have Klein 1959, 1963, and S-1 pickups in 3 of my Strats. I also ordered a set of his 1969 pickups this morning for a Strat that I have coming in. I have also installed his 1955 set in a guitar that I built for someone. The Jazzy Cats are nice but they aren't quite what I really like. I think you would like some his year pickups better. My personal preference has to be for the 1959 set. They have a nice clarity to them without being brittle and can take some OD well.

Hard to tell listening through You Tube. But I think I like the first set best especially down at the bridge. My main complaint with my Deluxe Roadhouse with the Texas Specials is, the bridge P/U.
