Hey guys, have a couple of qeustions about fat 50s strat pickups :)
Are they true to their name and provide a fat tone?
Are they a warmer alternative to other pickups such as Texas specials which are quite bright?

Thanks man, what do you think of a fat 50s in the neck and a Texas special in the middle of my HSS?

Polarity and wind direction play a big factor when selecting
Mismatched pickups. Just as long as the neck fat 50s is wound
and has the same polarity as a Texas special. In order to have
Some hum canceling.
Most likely won't have complete hum canceling considering the Texas
Specials are hotter than the fat 50s.
Also consider that some hum buckers like Seymour Duncan
And dimarzio have (examples) if in conjunction with fender
Pickups, reverse the lead and grounds.
Not trying to confuse you but just give you a FYI .
What humbucker is the one mind?

Yeah don't worry about the polarity, I was more curious if you think it would be a good tonal combonation :)
I still have the standard humbucker in the bridge, but I'm getting a Seymour Duncan 59 custom hybrid

ok, the fat 50s are a little midscooped, not like the 69s and the ts have a hump in the mids.
ill be interested to hear once you have them installed.
