Hey everyone,
Apart from changing pickups, what can I do to produce a warmer and fatter tone with my stratocaster?

Turn down the tone controls. That's what they are there for.

Yeah I know man but mine don't seem to change anything, could you think of a reason why?

Usually on the bridge pick up tone control will have no effect. Not sure if that is the pickup your using. Only affects middle and neck.
Good Luck

Put a Clapton mid-boost circuit or an EMG SPC in your Strat to fatten up things a lot if you want a smoky humbucker-like sound. For better results, use a mid or volume boost pedal (Tube Screamer).

Not necessarily true. The tone control configuration depends on the year and model of the Strat. Take a look here and you will see what I mean:

Stratoblues, please provide more information on the year and model of your Strat and which pickup you are having problems with.

On a typical modern Strat the first tone affects the neck pickup and the second the middle/bridge pickups. Certain artist series Stratocasters (Eric Clapton, Buddy Guy signatures) employ master volume, tone and mid-boost controls.

You want "warm and fat"?

Plug the guitar into a '66 Pro Reverb and turn it up.

You can add and S-1 or a Push-Pull to go series with your pickup routing. A google search will yield the information you would need for that.

Made a huge difference on my US Standard.

you could experiment with a few different caps on the tone pots as well, and while u at it, re wire it for tone controll on all the pups, makes it much more usable

For a warmer tone, try a different pick. Thicker and rounder pics tend to warm the tone, sometimes to the point of being too dull.

I don't actually have a classic Blackface amp, but I agree with the general statement. For the OP: what kind of amp are you playing through? Really helps to know specifics, otherwise for all we know you're plugging your guitar into an old tape deck or something. Or a Marshall MG, which would be even worse.

Just use the neck pickup.

And maybe an amp with a closed-back speaker cabinet.

My suggestion too. Use the neck pick up.
