This is REALLY fun to do! Go out and get a danelectro honeytone amp for about 50 bucks. It sounds great clean or distorted. Then turn all of the knobs up all the way and play hendrixs star spangled banner and when you hold out a note the FEEDBACK really kicks in and it sounds great! sort of loud but so was hendrix! Also sounds cool with a wah pedal.

Comment and let me know if im a complete loser or i had a cool idea!

How is the feedback produced? Why that amp, is it particularly prone to cause feedback?

My amp is in the shop at the moment but I really want to try it out. Controlled feedback is the sh*t (Tom Morello, for example)

Cranking up a small amp all the way and playing with feedback is one of the most fun things a guitar player can do. You're no loser!!

Cool! Now hook your Wah up backwards and get some sounds that Hendrix used in other songs.

Im sort of a beginner- intermideate guitar player, and i guess that its such a small amp and its producing so much power ( only at full volume ) that it just cant help it. It feels like its going to blow up but ive done this millions of times! You can controll it by muting the strings while not playing. Playing chords is fine no feedback but holding out certain stuff for about 2 or 3 beats will set it wailing! But if you just want a little pratice amp this thing is cool, you can get really clean tones and stuff. Hope i answered your questions!
